Burnaby Lake was created by a glacier 12,000 years ago. Traditionally a critically important site for Coast Salish gathering, processing and transportation activities, a century ago its shores were home to bustling sawmills. Today, it became a perfect place for spotting wildlife.

Animals in Vancouver (Marmot)-Vol.02 温哥华动物 (土拨鼠)

Marmots in Tsawwassen are Yellow-bellied Marmots. Specifically, they are known to be "hitchhiking" marmots, sometimes stowing away in vehicles and being transported to the Vancouver area.

Tsawwassen的土拨鼠是黄腹土拨鼠。具体来说，它们以 “搭便车” 而闻名，有时会偷偷藏在车里，被运送到温哥华地区。

At the end of May, next to the parking lot entrance of Tsawwassen Causeway Beach, there was a large colony of great blue herons, with dozens or even hundreds of birds breeding chicks. The scene was like the living environment of pterosaurs in paleontological documentaries.

5月末，在Tsawwassen Causeway Beach的停车场入口旁边，有一大片大蓝鹭的栖息地，密密麻麻的几十上百只鸟都在这里繁殖幼鸟。场面颇具古生物纪录片中翼龙生活环境的氛围。

There is a Barred Owl (Strix varia) family now living in Douglas Park, including parents and one or two baby owls in the hole of a giant tree. There are already many people there to take photos, please keep quiet and keep distance if you want to see them.

现在有一家猫头鹰（横斑林鸮）住在Douglas Park，包括父母和住在树洞里的1-2只小猫头鹰。已经有很多人在拍照，如果想去看，请保持安静和适当的距离。

Riverview Hospital 湖景医院

Riverview Hospital is an abandoned mental hospital in Coquitlam. It is currently unused and has been used as a location for many movies. The entire campus is huge and includes various buildings from the early 20th century to the mid-20th century. Most of them are abandoned, and a few buildings in the north are still in use. Currently, this place is managed by BC Housing. Visitors must abide by relevant regulations and respect historical relics. 湖景医院 (Riverview Hospital) 是位于高贵林 (Coquitlam) 的一处废弃精神病院，目前闲置，但有不少电影在此取景。整个园区范围巨大，包括从20世纪初期到20世纪中期的各种不同建筑，大部分遗弃，北部少量建筑目前还在使用中。目前此地归于BC Housing管理，访客要遵守相关规定并对历史遗迹保持尊重。关于此处的复杂历史详见：https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riverview_Hospital_(Coquitlam)

Seaside of Vancouver (Seawall with B&W film)-Vol.03 温哥华海滨景观（黑白胶片下的海边步道）

Vancouver is a coastal city with many seaside landscapes, including sandy beaches, rocky beaches, harbors, etc. This topic focuses on those landscapes.

Seawall connects all significant views around downtown Vancouver. I walked from Coal Harbor to Sunset Beach with my film camera, there are a few of my favourite works from this walking.

温哥华(Vancouver)是一个沿海城市，有诸多的海滨景观，包括沙滩、礁石滩、港口码头等等，此专题专注于类似风景。

海边步道(Seawall) 连接温哥华市中心的多个知名旅游景点，我此次携带胶片机从Coal Harbor一路走到Sunset Beach，精选出几张个人还算满意的作品。
