The Abbotsford International Airshow is one of Canada’s largest aviation events, established in 1962 and held every August at Abbotsford International Airport in British Columbia. The show features both military and civilian aircraft in breathtaking flight demonstrations and static displays, including performances by the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, fighter jets, and aerobatic pilots. Celebrating aviation technology and culture, the Abbotsford Airshow has become a signature summer attraction in Western Canada. The first post will focus on aerobatic shows and historical aircraft.

Honda Celebration of Light 2025 本田光影庆典

The Honda Celebration of Light is Vancouver’s annual summer international fireworks competition, first held in 1990. In 2025, it will take place over English Bay. Teams from around the world light up the night sky with dazzling displays choreographed to music, drawing hundreds of thousands of spectators to beaches, parks, and boats. As a signature summer event, it celebrates cultural exchange and boosts tourism in Vancouver.

Canadian Forces Snowbirds in Vancouver 加拿大皇家空军雪鸟飞行表演队在温哥华 (20250719)

The Canadian Forces Snowbirds are the official aerobatic flight demonstration team of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), established in 1971 and based in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. They fly the CT-114 Tutor jet trainer, renowned for their highly precise formation flying and complex aerobatic maneuvers. The Snowbirds embody the professionalism and teamwork of the RCAF, performing dozens of airshows across Canada and internationally each year, serving as an iconic symbol of Canadian aviation heritage. This July, they are bringing their shows to Vancouver.
