Birds in Vancouver(Burnaby Lake)-Vol.22

Each year from late September to early October, Burnaby Lake in Metro Vancouver becomes an important stopover site for migratory birds. Species such as the Ring-billed Gull, Long-billed Dowitcher, Wilson’s Snipe, Hooded Merganser, and American Coot gather here to rest and feed before continuing their journey south. Their seasonal presence marks the shift into autumn and draws birdwatchers eager to witness this dynamic display of migration in the Pacific Northwest.
