The Great Horned Owl (Bubo virginianus) is one of the most iconic and powerful raptors in North America, and a year-round resident of the Metro Vancouver region. Instantly recognizable by its prominent ear tufts, piercing yellow-orange eyes, and robust build, it projects an unmistakable sense of authority. Highly adaptable, the Great Horned Owl inhabits forests, wetlands, farmland, and even urban edges. Primarily nocturnal, it relies on exceptional hearing and vision to hunt prey ranging from rodents and birds to rabbits.

大角鸮（Great Horned Owl，学名 Bubo virginianus）是北美最具代表性的猛禽之一，也是大温哥华地区全年可见的顶级捕食者。它以显著的“耳羽”、橙黄色的眼睛和强壮的体型而闻名，外形威严而充满力量感。大角鸮适应能力极强，栖息环境涵盖森林、湿地、农田，甚至城市边缘地带。主要在夜间活动，凭借极其敏锐的听觉与视力捕猎，从啮齿类、小型鸟类到兔子等猎物都在其食谱之中。
