The Cancún Hotel Zone is not only famous for its stunning Caribbean coastline but also for its diverse reptile life. Among the most commonly encountered lizards are the Green Iguana, Black Spiny-tailed Iguana, and Brown Anole. The large Green Iguana is often seen resting in trees, feeding on leaves and fruit, while the agile Black Spiny-tailed Iguana prefers sunlit rocks, seawalls, and urban structures. Much smaller in size, the Brown Anole inhabits shrubs and gardens, feeding on insects and displaying its colorful throat fan during territorial and courtship displays.
